Why I hate chain store.

I went to get some crickets at my lfs yesterday and a customer asked the new employee if a dragon goby would fit in his 55 and he said no they get like 2 maybe 3 feet.....

I sent Petco an email and advised them to have their legal department look at my email concerning laws about "selling items while providing misleading information" and "statutes about animal cruelty". I'll let the corporate people at Petco decide if they need to do anything.

If this causes you grief at the store, I apologize in advance, but my first favorite and still most fav fish is an Oscar and I had to do something in his name.

I was at my local chain store and I heard one of the fish guys tell a customer that an iridescent shark gets 3 feet long and than turned arould said a 75 would be fine for life and sold the guy one. Things like that piss me off...

I have a lfs around me that sells silver aros and the owner will fo and say anything for a buck. I hate ot... I like his store cause he has good selection and diff stuff from the chain stores... Petco doesnt really do much fish business around me prolly cause they all act like they hate life n ppl dont like going there because of it... Petsmart... Well they know me so everytime im in there i get asked the ?s they dont know the answers too so i never get to hear missleading info... But . Normally petsmarts pretty good around me cause the floor manager knows what hes talkin about so he trains them well

hate em for a different reason. local petco refused to sell me comets when i mentioned they would go in my piranha tank even tho they had they labled as feeders. another time the lady refused to sell me 50 because "no tank is big enough to support 50 fish" while i look at a 55g they have divided 3 ways with 500+ fish in it and i have a 500g at hone. oooookkkkk im amazed petco still bothers with live fish

Yeah thats all fine and dandy until they got to feed their family.

My chain store sold me "6 feet of chain" but when I got home and measured it there was only 5 feet 11 inches of chain.
Grrrr!

That's BS even if you go back and complain they'll give you another inch but ya can't connect to the other 5'11". They need to give you a whole new chain. Other then your post these, chain store post are quite nonsensical.
