I have to dissagree with lots of people out there, my 210 takes way less work after the first set up than any of the smaller tanks I have. If he does it wisely he can do way less work with it. As some of you may also know that having a larger volume of water makes mistakes less drastic. and by the way I can have a 50% wc done in under an hour with my python, just some food for though. ps, I voted get it!
how do you drain and refill a 100g in less then an hour with a python?

i really hate having to be a voice of reason.. but it's really simple. you live in your parent's home and whatever aquarium set up you have is COSTING THEM MONEY.. and a 300 gal aquarium, no matter how nice it is set up is going to cost LOTS more money to keep than a 50 gal.

not to mention the simple fact that it's their house.. not yours. when you get your own place and can afford the extra expense.. get your 300 gal aquarium.

really go for it i , first they wil say ooh no we admitted it and after a week of 2 they wil say waauw that's nice

hello peoples i can get it now its just a matter of deciding between a 300g tank or a heck of a lot bigger indoor ray pond! now which one should i do there?

You have to put into consideration what your parents opinion is. Plus where this tank is going to be. If it's going to be on an upper level of a house not always the best. They can sometimes be bad for the support beams cause they're so heavy.

its already planned out, either im getting the tank or im building the pond i talked about. and its going in the basement without question lol

I would just go with the 300gal since you dont seem to have that much experience with big fish you shouldnt jump right into a Ray pond...
