I love that he is getting torn up for being mad about being torn up. Congrats guys, you just made yourself look like idiots.
 
Bottom line why care what somebody on a fish forum cares or thinks? You ask a question get advice either use it or ignore it. Yes there are some no it alls on here and some cool people that are just trying to help' Take it for what it is a fish forum with a bunch or people you will never meet.

Agreed. All you can do is ignore those people with their head up their asses because they have expensive fish. I've seen ridiculous things on here where some people have had many large fish in a tank too small. If you do this with cheap fish it is considered cruel. If you do it with expensive fish, it is considered "JDM" where people get praise. Either way making a thread about this isn't gonna get anywhere. Just ignore them. If you said you had 5 platinum catfish in a 65 it would be okay ;)
 
Yeah theres a lot of peeps on here who can be pretty lame, I just don't let it bother me, its the internet, its gunna happen, too bad you can't handle it
 
Isnt this pretty common? Ive seen it in every LFS I have ever been in. I do believe some act out because of concern for fish. Yet I have to think the majority is ego stroking and a way to establish their fish keeping superiority. IME so many that are like this have foot long cichla in a 55 gallon and if you see it they'll smugly say well I can get away with it for this and that and blah blah blah. 20 years into this hobby Ive seen it. Do as i say not as I do.
 
I used to feel that way but then I realized I'm not going to let a few lames on here make me be without one of the best websites on the net.
 
i wouldn't leave because of that, the things i do find funny on this forum and other forums too is people who have no experience with what you are asking giving advice like it's gospel because it is their opinion based on what they read, heard etc

there is still alot of good information here.
 
Man up and take the abuse ... lol. I feel where you are coming from there are a few fish elitist on this site and for the most part you just have to deflect what they are saying and keep it moving. I come to the site to get information from people who have been in the hobby alot longer than I and don't make you feel as if you beneth them.

Bottom line if you fish are healthy and happy, who cares what the haters thing. Remember you should keep fish for you and not for the reason of being glorified on a fishsite.
