As a Standard size. They can make any size tank there customer orders.

I'm not arguing tank manufacturers make custom sizes. There are tank companies that only make custom tanks. I'm not arguing they don't exist. I have a 300g its 30" tall its a standard size 300g. It may not be a size that is sold as much as a 55g but the standard size 300 is there for anyone who wants to buy one. And a LFS can stock it as it has a dimension that will fit through any house. But they will not stock a tank that is 8x4x4 or 8x4x3 or any combination where all dimensions are over 31" cause they know it won't fit through anyones doorway.

LoL, yeah it would have nothing to do with them having to commit thousands of dollars and valuable retail space to something that doesn't sell quickly or have a high rate of turnover.

Or probably because they can't fit it through their store front door. :wall:

The argument is academic...the low volume of sales is due to lack of demand, one of the main reason for lack of demand is due to people can't put those tanks where they want due to doorways and other space issues.

I just looked at this list. There is not one single tank on that list where all three dimensions are over 30". Why cause they know it has to fit into someones house. I'm sure there are sizes on that list that out sell other sizes. There maybe sizes on that list they sell more do to "Supply and Demand". But the sizes that hardly ever sell is not selling because it won't fit in there house.

That's an interesting price list, I'm very surprised that their tanks iwth a 90x60cm end profile are the same price as the 60x90cm WxH, taller tanks need thicker glass and more of it than wide ones, 90 wide and 60 high would be ok with 10-12mm glass (depending on other factors) but 90 high and 60 wide would be borderline with 15mm and probably require 19mm to get a reasonable safety factor.

The answer has been given. Regardless of what size doorways anyone has, manufacturers will only standardize items that sell quickly and maintain solid profit margins. Large tanks with 30" or bigger dimensions accomplish neither targets of a business.

No point in arguing this any longer.
