Wife put me on a budget :(

My wife was like that for a long time..then she fell in love with a clown knife at the LFS...when I told her out tank wasn't big enough...my budget suddenly became unlimited. I've spent in the neighbor hood of a 1000.00 just in the last month and there's still a long way to go.

The trick to that equation is having a wife that can like a clown knife. Mine will only like "sparkly" fish. And she's far too keen on everything to let money go into said sparkly fish. But that's what I get for selecting an intelligent partner.
 
lmao dude if it money from your work pay you spend on your fish/tanks thats a joke seriously im sorry but the money i got left over after i pay the bills go's on my fish or somthing i want my wife gets her money to spend dont get me wrong im not a complete jerk but i do buy her things to from time to time aswell

i say if you bust your butt all week working you are abloud to blow it on what ever you want

and if she gets really cranky just say your sorry and buy her somthing then try agin next week lmao
 
hey man it could be worse my parents limit me to about 0 $ a month unless i am doing a big project that is needed, like setting up my 125, and even then i am limited montly severly. compared to what i am currently on for my 125 setup your 60$ is like a fortune.
 
Guess what happens if you man up? Not much. And for a long time.
 
I hear you about flipping tanks...tried that and got shot down. LMAO.. I just set up two tanks in the garage and have one in the house....why would I need four tanks my hubby says...you have 3 perfectly good ones !:nilly: He likes Oscars...I don't but if that is the "in" to getting a bigger tank then I will work on that angle.:naughty:

I think DC Smoke nailed it... if its YOUR money, which YOU earned and all the bills / necessities (i.e. food etc) have been paid for then why shouldn't you be able to spend your money on what you want...

On the other hand, if its only the misses that brings home the bacon then you may have a bit of a problem on your hands and you will have to some how get a better deal...

Either way, best of luck with your $60 limit for now...

wow I wish I had 60 dollars a month to spend on fish. I am 14 no allowance or job. I dont even have a budget... every dollar I get my hand on goes to my fish or fishing my hobby. I think I might be worrying my parents. does the 60 include electric? 60 dollars is fine depending on how many tanks you have and the scale cause if you are hard core that wont me nearly enough. good luck with the vodka
