I've had him since last June. He was 1.5" when I got him from Ken Davis.

You got him at 1.5"..... so what size was he when he was caught? Never knew they caught them or brought them in wild at that size.......

Beautiful fish nonetheless. I like the thick/high body.

very nice dovii, 7.5" isnt much in 12months tho for male dovii is it?

Costa rica or Niceraguan?
Neither. This fish was caught in Honduras.

Thanks. The fish was one of a spawn of dovii caught last year in May. Ken Davis said they found the mother in a cement drainage pipe guarding the fry and she put up a fight when they tried to catch these guys. I acquired the fish in June of last year along with some other tiny Parachromis. Ken thought this was a motaguense which is what I originally wanted. This fish killed all the others in the tank within two weeks and was growing fast. I started questioning whether or not it was a motaguense and sure enough, Ken accidentally gave me one of the little dovii he had caught in that spawn. Ken has another male and another guy that went on the trip has a few. So I assume they were really tiny when they caught them in Hondo.

I don't know what the others from the spawn look like.
