Wild-caught dovii update

David, Looks like mine is a female, may have to negotiate getting that one back from you some day to breed to her. Thought we'd fine more this past trip to la Moskitia, but only got Managuense. I'm going back to the exact place we caught these next year and look for more. Ken
 
He is acting a little "studly" lately. I'll give you a call and we can work something out maybe.

Wow, impressive. May I know when you first received
this fish at 1.5" if he had a string of dark blotches that
ran laterally along the body? Or was there with just a
single blotch just after the dorsal area and above the
genital region?

Was the fish anything like this at 1.5" (picture below)?

The fish was too small wheni got it to see more than the dark blotch. It later developed a lateral string or two of small spots.

Right. Thanks for the feedback. At least I have a clue
about the developmental stages. Just have to wait and
see, patiently.
