Wild Fish..... Economics

Animal Jungle. They get most of their fish from Seagrest, etc. but one of the employees gets DCT fish too. Apparently he does it outside of the usual store's order process. I tried to connect DCT to him but DC said he doesn't do business with any stores in VB. I am told the employee actually travels to FL to get them from time to time.
Now, that guy could be full of %$& and making all this up. But he is getting fish that only DCT supplies (e.g. gibbiceps) and uses the same collection locales in the descriptions. Also, he only gets fish that are on the DCT list at a given time and in the same sizes. Also, some of the races are dead ringers for "known" DCT fish (i.e Syn Sarstoon, Heredia dovii, etc.). AND, when they don't move they reduce the price to the exact price on the DCT list. So, if I convinced myself he was lying I'd have to also have a lot of respect for his skillful deception! Hahaha!

yeah maybe he does get them from DCT, but its a shame to hear that the fish look destroyed after the store packs them together, because man those are all nice fish you namedcchhcc;3803772; said:

Save your wikipedia fish facts for the early crowd man. Ive been keeping fish since 1976, in 13 different countries on 4 different continents. You are not impressing anyone but your little 2 man fan club around here...
oh, and be sure to hop on over to LowCels latest post asking for help sexing his 2 dovii...because he must not know anything either right? Yea, you have all the answers but for some reason, I didnt see your answer there, just you telling him to see IRA for female dovii...repping again.

Ira, for the fact that you said you are a vendor and the way you've acted on the forum I for one wouldn't never be interested in doing any kind of business with you. You showed a great lack of professionalism and a lack of maturity in your responses in this thread.
SO you's just a crappy businessman. good to know. maybe you need to go and grow up some more. I've seen more mature response to conflict from my 9 year old than I've seen from you. I am friends with one of the vendors who sells on this forum. I know there has been many occasions that he's had the opportunity to import some pretty amazing young adult CA/SA Cichlids that would be considered ultra desireable. Unfortunately(for us all) he had to pass on the opportunity for the simple reason that it wasen't profitable to bring the fish in at the asking price after the shipping costs were taken into account.
I agree that there are many questionable WILD fish for sale as of late. We should all try and buy from people we know and THINK we can trust. Even then who really knows what we're getting unless we get a chance to collect it ourselves.
