Wild Fish..... Economics

The way I see it, and I am sure you could care less, is this. If I catch a wild fish in Panama, and I take it to Costa Rica and put it in a pond, that fish is wild. But any babies from that fish are F1, I think people are saying, and I could be wrong about this also, that some fish that are being "farmed" in these ponds in CA (Central America......not Cali) are being sold as wild.

So we are seeing a large influx of "wild" fish that may be farmed fish, but they are farmed in CA, understand? So in essence they are not wild but a foreign product, not of the native country, and not wild, that is being imported.

I am not trying to be argumentative, but I feel the opposing sides have not been clear with their hypothesis.

We are in full agreement but and this happens alot in Africa with tropheus which are farmed lake side. This thread started out with talk of a vendor who collects and pays a lot for freight for wild fish and another unscrupulous seller who has wild fish at lower prices which makes him suspicious. How can anyone accuse either seller of being unscrupulos. Where are the facts what is this information based on. Why not expose this fraud what does it say about a member who claims members are being taken and allowing it to happen. I want to know who the fraud is all the members here would love to know who is unscrupulous so we can avoid them. I'm sure the moderators would love to know the unscupulous vendors on this site. I guess it has to remain a secret to protect the unsctupulous vendor. The lights are on we know who is being unscrupulous. To be fair after the unscrupulous vendor is exposed there should be FACTS to back up these claims. The clock is ticking lets see how long it takes but I wont hold my breath. I speak for myself and am ret responsible for any man or woman on this site until November I had fewer than 10 posts I stayed off these forums, except to compliment quality pics or fish but we all know whats going on here. Just the facts please.

This is my last attempt at this point. No one is pointing at a vendor on this site, yet most everyone knows of unscrupulous sellers in the business world. Some instances of that have occured on Aquabid. I myself have given fish to people just to see them sold as something other than they are. I've expressed my disappointment to those individuals directly.

For the life of me, I don't know why you think this targets you. Am I wrong there? If so I apologize for misunderstanding. I'm not aware of any seller here knowingly misleading people. But the economics of the example I used, my LFS, are puzzling. That's it. There's no one shooting from the grassy knoll!

No one I know of, including the several vendors with whom I'm friends has anything negative to say about any other vendor on this site. Lord knows with all this nonsense if such feelings existed they'd have made themselves known!

Hey Crhis I'm only asking you to do what you are asking others to do supply some supporting evidence but I guess its just easier to change the topic. We all want to know who the unscrupulous sellers are but I guess its just better to protect them.

and why do you care? Arent you getting ready to tell us that you fly your personal jet to Nicaragua and free dive into Lake Xilo and hand catch all your cichlids, all before we even get out of bed to go to work?

thats it, dont bother defending the fact that he said you couldnt get convicts to mate, bought paired fish and never paired your own and all of the sudden you are the expert...yea, dont bother acknowledging those facts...just change the subject and pretend it didnt happen...lol

You dissappont me I hearh you loud and clear the only thing I'm not hearing from you is the mane of the unscrupulous vendors you continue to protect. I know you wish me luck but ist all bad so no thanks. Was that you and company who have reeked havoc on other members threads? I guess it do what I say and not what I do but I'm done with this thread pm me if you ever decide to reveal the unscrupulous sellers that started this conversation.
