they're getting there, still don't have colors as good as yours yet though, but mine are still young they might get there :D

My male was absolutely drab even when he was ~6" since he was dominated by the (then larger) female a lot. He wasn't nearly as colorful as your pair - I guess it has to do with yours having "better blood" i.e., being wild caught, as opposed to being tank raised.

Hope to see updated shots of yours sometime, they're a great looking pair.

Thanks a lot.
Yes, I will post some pictures of my pair - who knows, maybe with a spawn, if I am lucky!

let me know on if you sell the fry i would take one or two :) gotta get me a 75 now

You have a gorgeous pair of Trimacs Norbert, love the pics. Keep us posted, I'd love to see how everything turns out. I'd like to start my own breeding project when I set up my 150g with my 9" WC male.

Thanks dk! Good luck with yours, would love to see pics of him, mine has finally passed my female in size but he is still only a little over 6".

For sure! I've been looking for some pure bred Trimacs for some time now.....

They're tough to find, I jumped on these as soon as I saw them, sometimes you just get lucky :)

Could be, but yours has really incredible "yellowish" color to him now, can't wait until mines colors come in a little better,
Hope to see that, good luck!

Probably not going to raise this brood but I'll try and spread some around once I have room to raise a large brood :)

Thanks fishfreak! I agree, hope they are coming back but I suspect flowerhorns are always going to overshadow our trimacs :(

It'll be interesting to see how many got fertilized, bummer you missed that shot, sounds like it would have made a great pic!

hopefully i will get another chance. i had to separate the parents because i didn't want more frys till i could find out what to do with this batch first.

how big is your male currently? sorry if i missed this in another post somewheres. :)

gl and remember we all love updates.

Never, they are the classic.Anyone worth there salt will take a 'mac hands down.

Yours have to be both the best looking I've ever seen, and the best pair ever on here. And they are wild too. You've got a great thing going there.
