hmmm, this is going to be my first post and already i'm getting involved in a controvesial topic(couldn't think of a better discription)
anyway
<C'mon lets think of the animal here, not ourselves. Fish have to be one of the most abused animals in the world because people think they can do what ever they want.>
i couldn't agree more, although i think herps would have to tie w/ fish as the most abused.
<The dwarf puffer, no matter how much smaller he is in comparison to your other fish, WILL ATTACK them.>
i think that's a bit of an overstatment. it depends on the individual personality of the puffer, i've heard of terrorist dwarf puffers and i've heard of extremely peacefull puffers. i personally have a dwarf puffer in a 29g w/ 13 Danio choprae, 1 un-ID'd danio, 2 long fin danios, 2 kuli loaches, 1 black kuli loach, 3 un-ID'd loaches, 5 endlerxguppy hybrids and 2 olive nerite snails, i haven't lost a single fish since i added the puffer, although all my shrimp did dissappear but it is questionable weither or not he had anything to do w/ it because before i put him into the 29g i had him in an 11" cube w/ 2 ghost shrimp and he didn't touch them. he also like pest snails but won't touch my olive nerites. IMO, dwarf puffers are a wonderful candidate for tanks but you want to have a back up plan(such as a species tank) if the one you get turns out to be a nasty little guy.
<he should put 10 dwarf puffers in there and see who wins the fight. Watch them nip the convicts to death >
reminds me of awhile ago when i was looking for an f8 puffer for my BW tank. i went into the fish section of the LPS and was directed to a tank full of GSP(not at all what i wanted) and saw what looked to be a dead/stressed one floating on the surface, closer inspection revealed it to be a mutilated betta that was still alive and getting occasionally nipped by the dozen or so GSP below it. my face pretty much did this

the employee just shrugged and said she'd flush it later.
