Currently have a plat Senegal around 8-9cm (3 - 3.5 inches). Would it be a good idea to get an 8cm (3 inch) Ornate with it? I know that Ornates can be bullies and will outgrow the Senegal but I have seen Ornates cohabitate fine with other Bichers online. Is it just a matter of individual fish temperament or is it because the aggression is diluted the more Bichers are in the tank?

The tank is around 370 liters (100 gal) and im not planning any other stocking apart from the 2 Bichers if I the ornate is recommended/fine.
Filtration will be a Dofin C1000 canister and tank will be semi planted.

Would you guys go ahead with this or would u think of other stocking ideas like maybe a Delhezi or some Geophagus.
Or would u recommend keeping the Senegal on its own

Thank you for your time.

Ornates are one of the most territorial bichirs. Most likely will bite the Senegal. If you want to try, get 3 or more bichirs in order to spread out the aggression. Keeping two bichirs ONLY would definitely cause some heirachy issues.

I had a similar question because I have a planted bichir tank with two Senegals an electric blue acara and some Congo tetras and I wondering if I could also add a ornate bichir
