Will bala sharks go well with pacu fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just feed them grapes and nuts...to add some flavor when they are fattening up for slaughter.

Good. From now, don't rescue any tankbusters unless you can house them.

Yes you can keep them together. Best if the Bala's are big enough not to be eaten by the Pacu. Pacu will get bigger but if the Bala is 10-12" i'd say it be safe with a 20"+ Pacu. Course you need an appropriate size tank depending on how big the Pacu and Balas are. But you could raise small 3-4" Balas with small 3-4" Pacu's in a 125-240. If you still had them when they got bigger you would need a bigger tank down the road.

That is what I plan on doing is donating them to a pond or zoo aquarium when they get two big for me to handle, I have 120 gallon although I plan on taking out all my decorations as they get bigger so they have more space.

That should last a month or so.

Sorry on phone didn't read the rest. Disregard.

1. no one should own pacus, unless you start with a 400 gallon+ and HAVE a 1000 gallon plus tank ready.

2. The thought that I endorsed a 400 gallon tank for the long term housing of a Pacu is laughable and ludicrous.

3. Pacu used to be sold at Petsmart with a 12 inch adult size on the sticker. :)
