Ok,

I have a 6-8" oscar, 2 EBJD, and 2 cons

EBJD and cons are 2-4"

all in a 55

I realise it is "overstocked" but with excellent filtration, care, and WC can I make this work?

If you answer no, please provide information as to why you disagree =)

No, because either your cons or oscar will stress your ebjd to death. Also, your oscar will need an upgrade soon. Also, whats with the multiple threads? http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256200

EDIT: After reading all your threads just keep your two ebjds in their own 20g and the cons in their own 20g. Then wait till you get rid of the oscar in 2 weeks. Then move the ebjd over to the 55g. The cons should be fine in the 20g for life.

No flaming just the oscar will get too big for a 55. The cons & EBJD will be ok in there just alot of stress. If you want to house them all together upsize for future growth for your community tank.

oh, I remember now... notice nobody replied to me??? so i made a new one... sorry if its against the rules...

No - Oscar alone should be housed in a 55 gallon as a bare minimum, 75 would be better.

If you got rid of the Oscar the Cons and EBJD's "might" work, a mating pair of JD's will work in a 55 but an unbonded pair might cause some chaos.

I have read some of your other posts, I realize that you're one of the younger members here at MFK and your mother is limiting the number of tanks you can get. If a 55 Gallon is the largest tank you can get why not try to find a good stocking mix that will work for the long run instead of cramming what fish you want into it?

There are many other (larger) fish I would like to keep, however as a responsible fish keeper I don't try to house them because I cannot get the size of tanks they require. I believe that is the bane of all fish keepers here, there is always the limit of what we can keep and always another species that we would like to keep. Work with the tanks you have.

Just "bump" the thread from now on to bring it to the top of the list.

and 1 more thing to add... by the looks of it I will only have 1 EBJD... one is a runt and both are male so I will probably take him back.. as for the oscar I will also be taking him back, I just wanted to know if keeping him was an option because i love his personality

I can put the cons in the 20 and one EBJD and oscar will be going to LFS..

which leaves me with 1 EBJD in the 55:irked:
