Personally, I think it would benefit the oscar if you gave him to someone who could give him the space he requires and can fulfill his potential. I know what you mean, the reason I love fish so much is because of their individual personalities. But like that old saying, "If you truly love something, set it free." Give him back to your lfs so he has a chance at a better life.

Yea Sell all of your other tanks the 55, 20, 20L, and get a one big one off of Craiglist. That will make your mom happy (less tanks) and your fish happy . Everybody wins lol

I did at the time because I was supposed to get a 75 in addition to the 55 but my uncle backed out
