Windex is NOT GOOD

both our tanks have glass lids and canopies so little cance of windex goig in my tank. ALWAYS spray it on the rag

I use the windex wipes.. just take a wipe out, clean the glass and trash it, no spray whatsoever..

hmmm? i windex all the tanks, right on the glass, but i use the canned foaming stuff so that might be diffrent, fyi that stuff rocks.

i use the caned stuff on the windows of my vette and when i get around to it im buying a bottle for my tanks and i always use newspaper to clean and dry with. newspaper won't leave ANY "lint" behind

thats why you spray the rag first. also dont ever use any cleaners on acrylic tanks! they create fine cracks by drying the acrylic out.. over time the tank will shatter.

I don't even let any smoke or fumes from cleaners get into my room, where my big tank is. I'd never risk using Windex, spraying on the rag or not.

That stuff is too nasty to be near my tank. I just use a little bit of dilluted vinegar and newspaper...

That's why I spray the cleaner on the towel and not on the tank.

you spray it in another room on the rag/paper towel but if vinegar works than great. I never used it

Yeah, one time at work I caught one of the girls cleaning of our hoods with windex. I just looked at her untill she stopped.
