buy a syringe and an angled bit (blunt of course) for the end and use a dental grade mouthwash to squirt directly into any holes or under any flaps of gum. that helped me while i waited for my removal appointment.

been doing this

Do you have a Scirex or anything up there? I got mine taken out and they paid $350 for one side and 300 for the other ( 2 different studies) I got the mystery drug on the first surgery, and I don't know if i did on the other. (That was a study for Advil PM vs. Tylenol PM.)

Had all 4 of mine surgically removed when I was 17. It was miserable at that time but
worth it now. 29 yrs ago. All 4 were laying on their sides under the gum.
Sure glad I didn't have your dentist.:)

My brother was told that they were fine and he ended up with a gigantic abscess in his mouth. The kid goes to the dentist every six months like clock work, and they still missed it. :irked:

One thing you can look into it going to a University that has a dentistry/periodontal school. They are generally a lot cheaper or free. They may not be the very best, but they are a heck of a lot more qualified than you are, and they can actually give you antibiotics to help with the infection. :) Also, every procedure is over seen by a professor who is a well qualified dentist.

the university is alot cheaper but they require all $$$$ up front...

I had mine taken out, they said they would make my teeth crooked eventually if I let them grow in.. Anyone who has them should get them out especially if its going to make your teeth crooked, then you will have to pay for them to be removed and braces which would be even more money.. Mine cost $1600 to remove..

Scirex is a research facility that pays you for wisdom teeth removal, bunion removal and some other studies. I guess its only Austin based. I looked up a few places in your area, and came up with Cooper University that offers the service as mentioned ealier. I don't know if you are located near it or not, but at least it gives you an idea.

Good luck
