dude that sucks... I am worried about mine. I have dnetal coverage for check-ups but not for the removel of my wisdoms =[ they are growing in crooked and I have already had braces (however you spell it) and one tooth is going crooked. My dentist said they cant pull them now b/c they are too far down in my gums =\ They dont hurt atm but I am very weary about it. I want them out so I dont have to worry.

you need surgery to remove them.... thats covered under regular health coverage... get them out...

i have no wisdom teeth. They never came in. After hearing so many horror stories, i'm glad i only have my 28 teeth

I only had two wisdom teeth. Had them removed, never felt a bit of pain. It was like it never happened.

Best of luck to you.

Unlike you I was told to get mine pulled, but I didn't listen to my dentist when I was 16. One of them was coming in crooked. I didn't have to have them all pulled, but I was told that it was better to do all or nothing.

I waited 10 years until one started rotting away, and had them pulled. I was in intense pain when I made the decision.

Intense, and agonizing. Three of them popped out easily, but the rotting one was the crooked one. It didn't come out easily and I had bruising and intense pain (even with vicodin being used). My saving grace was no dry socket. Apparently after 20 years of removing wisdom teeth the one tooth ranked in the worst 5% of cases being pulled out by my surgeon. :irked:

Take the advice of those here on reducing the pain, and good luck. Oh, get them all yanked at once if you can. Don't mess around because you'll never want to have it done again.

between the constant infections and the pain they dont even have to knock me out to remove them or put me on pain pills... what ever pain im in from them being ripped out would be a godsend... i would deal with it like it was a blessing... i cant even go to the doctors to get a script for antibiotics or vicodin.. i dont have the money to pay for the visit and he wont call in scripts for me... not like i can afford them right now anyway..i just gotta suck it up till after bootcamp and hope this is the last big infection till then...

i never got to experience the wisdom they bring... damn docs ripped the bottoms out in bootcamp... now the tops are comming in, maybe ill keep them. they kinda hurt, but not as bad as my legs right now.

I am sorry to hear that. As you know it can be very dangerous to have an infection in that area (like life threatening rare of course). So please becareful.
My bottom right has been coming in for alike 3 freekin years now. Every few months it hurts and bleeds a little bit. Of course it is now starting to push my lower teeath around :( ..... I will just let things go ffor now, but if it gets too bad I will have to go. My other ones are impacted....
Good luck, be safe!!!
