Ive never really been a huge fan of polpterus ive kept a few species, like endlis, senegals and ornnapintis, currently got a nice sized ornate. Although i do love my Lungfish

I've yet to see any bichirs that I really like, and I don't collect any bichirs, is that why not many women come over? Matter of fact, all the bichirs I've sold, non were to women, not one 
Im so ready to have a bichir tank! But I need a tank first! lol I dont think all my Cichlids would like one in with them...and a bichir might eat them
I love their faces...dont know why...they remind me of puppys for some wierd reason...but everytime I see one in a FS I get all giddy...

Maybe you stop trying to show them your one eyed Bichir. That's probably what scares them off
