LOL, this post just made my morning....boy falls in love with trout, Girl unsure of marriage to boy in love with his food. Fish dies, Boy Cries, Girl has tears from laughing in her eyes...end of all romance for boy.

Hey look on the bright side at least you found out now and not after you married her and then find out. she would probably had taken your fish in the settlement just to spite you... you were lucky to find this out now... Sorry for you loss though I don't think it's fair of you to generalize about women and fish... the story could of gone the other way around too... not all women are the same, (although it is probably true that it is rarer to find women that do love the fishkeeping hobby/ addiction) gl finding one that can enjoy the same hobby as you. I know first hand that it is possible! my bf and I spend hours a day talking about and looking after our fish.

Those pics are great, the actual calenders are bestsellers at our local fly shop. I don't have any, cause my G/F does were stuff like that when we fish (yeah, she's awesome, just don't show her anything small with legs and no fur). She even unhooks her own fish, unless she doesn't know what it is. She caught a searobin once that Kindof freaked her out. they've got legs. Modified pectoral fins, some of the spines are loose and they "walk" on them.
Sucks about the fish, but a potential wife should accept you for what you are. If she doesn't, you both will be unhappy. You don't have to share all your hobbies, but you should respect the others wants and hobbies.
