One guy going outy and killing a shark is not hurting a population...your right. But hundreds or thousands of fishermen fishing everyday, paying charter boats, taking place in tournaments....you get the point, sportsfishing places a bigger part than you think. Animals have gone extinct from sports fishing or hunting in the past.

Not to mention, that the Size of the Sharks being Caught ( yhis being the exception not the rule Are much smaller then they use to be.
