Yeah I always heard that they all go buy stuff at the same time so that, if they get a call, they just GO. Anyone who thinks that doesn't make sense is pretty thick if ya asked me

Before then they had fire departments open to everyone, you would have to pay separately for "fire service" kind of like a home security but instead for if your house catches on fire, so if you didnt have a sticker on your house saying you paid then they will drive right pass or try to get you to join their company, lots of fights started from fire departments trying to steal another ones "customers". The government has the right to tax so either way they will take our money but instead we don't have to pay separately for fire service, seems fair to me. (see I pay attention in school at times ^-^) Also these guys are risking their lives to save other people. They aren't causing trouble or anything SO WHY NOT LET THEM BE???

i used to have a next door neighbor who was a ladder truck driver, every now and then if he forgot somthing at home he, along with the rest of the guys on duty at the time, would go and get it in the ladder truck, it didn't bother me in the least bit

Bad reporting to the max. The reporter should be let go asap. I don't get how people can pick on people that are in the life preserving business.

As someone with many family members who have dedicated their lives to public service...I dont think that any of them will be happy to hear that on duty firemen were going shopping.

If you want REAL bad reporting start watching fox news...
