I have seen the firemen around here do that from time to time. It makes sense to me, that if your on duty, the whole team goes and eats lunch together, so that if a call comes in, they can just hop in the truck and take off to the emergency. I do not have a problem with it.

same here, they take the truck out so that if they get a call they can go on it. Plus in AZ they're constantly on heat stroke patrol. No need to blast it all over the news because there's nothign better to report on. I mean seriously of all people to pcik on you're going for the only profession (other than paramedics) in the world that has no other real benefits than the pure joy of saving someone? (doctors have healthy salaries and police aren't always saving people and many get into the job for the authority)

I mean with all that's going on today, this is all they had to report on? I'm thinking not.

the only point the reporter made the made any sense was that the fire truck was out of district. or was it??? if i understand things right ladder trucks are less commen and serve a larger area then the rest of the fire house. i could be wrong. won't say bad or good reporting, its just a bit missleadding and unclear.
