Worthless Food to Buy for Your Fish

Tetra makes junk. Bad food, bad water conditioners, bad filters, bad brand, bad company.

I'm not a fan of sinking pellets in general, most of my cichlids will ignore anything that isn't floating. They'll eat sinking food if they get it as it hits the water, but otherwise they ignore a pellet on the way down

I feed Hikari Brine Shrimp and blood worms, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, Fresh Zucchini (For the GN) and Tetra Min tropical Crisps (My fish have no problems with these but maybe because they get many other foods).

Believe it or not, none of my fish would eat the Omega One Cichlid Pellets! For some reason they want only Hikari Cichlid Gold and occasional flies, nightcrawlers, or hot dogs.

i bought a big can of wardleys floating pond pellets for my channel cats and they love them. the worst food ive ever had was tetra flake food, but i have never had a problem with wardleys.

most sinking pellets unless you have a catfish or bottom dweller.

my cons and jd love hikari sinking carnivore pellets. they don't let them sink to the bottom

What is the worst food you've ever fed your fish? I think it would be nice to get a thread going (maybe sticky) that tell people what food is worthless to buy and avoid. I couldn't really find a thread like it, so I started this one.

For me, it has to be Top Fin Shrimp Pellets. None of my fish will eat them, except for one of the cichlids did, but it didn't seem to really like it. Most of them will, however, eat Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets. I would probably assume that all Top Fin food is probably not good.

I used to have piranha that loved the shrimp pellets. they would eat those hard thinks like a table saw goes through a 2x4. other than that (which I understand is rare), shrimp pellets are good for crawfish, and not much more.
