Would not work, end of story, this thread is stupid..... We have a ton of people saying that it wont work and one saying that it will. And comparing this the Trust's tank is not the same, those fish have the room to swim around. In a 60 gallon there is not enough room for them to move around, and then you add in that you are overcrowding the tank also..... WILL NOT WORK. I would just have 1 O and a couple other fish in a 60 gallon.

 Your kidding right LOL

It really wouldn't work man, trust me. 55 isn't even good for a single oscar. 75g is minimum for a single. Go for 100+

The title of the thread is "would this work" and I am saying it would, is it ideal, no but that aint the title of the thread now is it. You guys who all dribble about the min tank for one Oscar are full of yourselves. Out of all the fish in the world it seems you guys think an oscar, one of the less aggressive cichlids, require the biggest tank in accordance to size.
I can find several other tanks that are as stocked as the trusts but that one was on hand. All good feed back on them, I would assume that the minimum tank for 1 p-bass to be way above 55gal, so that makes a little less then 5 in a 250 (going by a 55 as min). It is the same principle just with different fish. Do the math work out the body mass of 3 oscars and compare that to 60gal, the do the same for the trust fish, I know which one will have higher water %. Next time I am on I will post a link proving this sort of thing is possible and the fish can thrive, I don't have the time to find the link right now.

No one cares about your justification of why you could put three Oscars in a 60g. Your silly to try to justify this. Even the origional poster asked and said I know it probabally wont work. Its not about their size its more they are large waste producers compared to larger cichlids and release a larger amount of hormones. They also require cleaner water to thrive. You dont have much personal experience with Oscars as it sounds.

Hey as I see it Oscars are a less then $10 fish go for it if one dies big woop it isnt a big loss:WHOA:...

if all these people can go crazy with stocking with expensive fish $50+ and they are all healthy then i think it would be worth a try for almost free Oscar... :nilly::irked::nilly::banhim:
