well i got bit by an alligator gar when i caught it in a stocked pond in florida i set him down to remove the hook and he latched on to my heel left several puncture wounds in my tanks ive been spurred by my leapord pleco and my catfish been scraped by my bluegill when he bit just about my whole finger and hand while cleaning havent got bit by my wolf yet but those two front teeth could really do some damage i suggest siphons i have two (PYTHON works best because you can hook it to the tank and dont have to suck up fish water in your mouth:crazy: and im also bias because my aunt works for PYTHON) but also use nets to scoop your fish out into a bucket while you clean or wear non latex gloves and use magnetic scrubers

i had a moray eel a few years ago that got me right above the thumb while I was doing a water change, it drew a little bit of blood, but the eel was pretty small.

a snapping turtle that had a 7in carapace, bit me when i was 5>years old.i waved my hand over the holding container which had murky water.it jumped 3 FEET in the air and gripped my right index finger.i was hitting it against the wall to shake it free.i was told i was leaking pink fluid out of my hand.i couldnt remember that part but i clearly remember i was bitten by that snapper.

my 13" gar bit my index finger while i was doing a w/c

note: feed before w/c,hands away for its face

and bloodparrots .threaten to feed them to the bigger fishes and they wont do it again lol!

Trying to net an arowana in a friend's tank, when the damn thing jumped up and headbutted me. I called it a day and went home and got some aspirin. To prevent it, I just don't help my friend net jumpy Aros.

was stuck through the palm of my hand, and deeply, by a big Pictus catfish sail fin spine....took ages to heal...( still scratches, now and again...)

Since the last time I posted in this thread, I've been bit by a 3" Niger Trigger, stung by 2 Condylactus amemone's (more annoying than anything),I had to pry a crayfish off my thumb, and I got a Firefish in the ear canal when it jumped out of it's tank.

I love my job.

I have never been bitten by any fish! Never been poisoned by sea lions either!
I will show you all the ways to prevent bites or anything else a fish might do to you!

There is only 1 thing I do to prevent this accidents! GET SOMEONE ELSE TO CLEAN THE TANK FOR YOU! A friend, sister, brother, or someone else you know wont mind....I pay my dad 10 bucks to clean the tank for me.

Both of my FW moreys got me a time or two along with my 2' (yes foot...not inch) black pirhanna. None of them however can compare to the time I was moving a 16" pleco....had it jump out of the bucket....and stupidly caught it in mid-air...can you all say....spined the crap out of?....sure you can.
