I know that part, but I was more insure about the platform. I suppose I will just use something flat and plastic and pile small stone on it and let the plants grow.

as many people have said, chances are that it floats. i saw what looked like floating moss balls anchored with some fishing wire in my lfs today

Thats the most amazing planted tank Ive seen it reminds me of the floating islands of unobtanium in avatar

Unless there are some side views of this tank showing nothing stuck to the back. I would say he has a piece of driftwood attached to the back of the glass.

Why? If I were going to make that, it would be easier to tie down something that floats than to anchor objects to the wall of the tank. IMO.
