If I knew how hard being an Adult was I wouldn't have wanted to be grown up so bad when I was a kid. It's amazing how little we value how easy being a kid is when we're kids but once we're grown up we realize it will never be that easy again...

I laid down the law on day one. Never had a problem. Made sure they knew they had to replace it if they used it. So they don't.

I keep my bucket in the tank stand with nets and scrubbies and whatever in it. It dosen't get touched.

Now if anyone wants to explain how to keep them from spraying air freshener and windexing the tanks...I haven't quite gotten through, hahaha.

Easy. Just say this word for word "Mom my fish are worth 1000$ if that air freshener or windex gets in/on my tank they die. When they die you owe me 1000$" done... and done.

i use windex on my tanks.
30gallon wastebasket to lug out siphoned water then the hose to filler up.
