You really think only 50 made it? That sucks.

Yeah $140 for shipping for a 2" fish is crazy. Especially since Ive shipped myself and I know you can get it cheaper. That is what was and still is keeping me from buying from Rich. His great selection and fantastic prices are negated with shipping cost. I know one thing, if I was local to him Id be a poor, single, lonely man but with lots of cool fish!

I think Mr. Goliathtigerman was also bringing them in. Maybe I misunderstood. $200 shipped...... That was the price when they were first brought in and UN-identified. I payed $140 for shipping. 1 or 5 didn't matter...... And when I bought mine from RiverWonders it was still well over $300 after shipping. $250 and $60 or $70 for shipping. I'de like to know an EXACT count of how many made it from Rich's shipment.... I believe I speculated less than 25% would make it....LOL I'm guessing less than 50.

We can do a post on head count of Armatus from Rich brought in two months ago, and I bet my left nut that there are about 50 survive from the 400 that he brought in... On top of my head, the total of 4 homies (Will, Warren, Chung, and Eric) I know in So. Cal. plus myself are 13 , DB has 5, Pwn has 3, so that's 21 so far...

You don't understand! Rich doesn't live next to the airport. RW shop is not so far from LAX. People like Rich or myself doesn't like to have many children, so we try to stay away from the airport  That's why you should buy as many as you can! Well, then you should also take it into consideration that PWn and DB paid that much for shipping, too, not cheap, isn't it?

It's not sucks when 50 of them survived. It's their nature, and that's why they're expensive... They're not Scomb :grinno:

BTW, didn't you realize Milokai just lost his recently. These bastards Armatus are crazy. I still have four from RW last year, two of them took each other eye out just for fun :irked: When they have nothing to do, they attack each other :nilly::nilly::nilly:

Plus 3 from one doesn't want to be named - 24

Yeah $140 is a lot. BUT IF it was shipped to the airport I'de spend probobly $80 in gas and $70 for AP to AP shipping. Shipping is all part of buying fish. If Rich wanted $300 for shipping I still would have paid it, and did it smiling.... Plus he shipped them to my door. NOT the airport. Airport maybe cheaper but I for one live 2.5 hours from the airport. That means a day off work plus gas........ Way cheaper to bite the bullet and doorstep them suckers..... My ONLY regret is only buying 5. JD.... Let us know whats up after you talk to g. Kinda curious myself if he still has them and how much they are.

They are NOT hardy at the size of a quarter..... VERY delicate.... Just like Spartans when they are first born.....LOL No matter the fish. When that young EVERYTHING is delicate.

They are not hardy at all! Even at 10", 12", they can drop dead with some slight trace chemical in the water. Isn't that why we can only treat ick on Armatus with salt and temp raise, instead of medicine? :naughty: :D

I would say that they are hardy. The time that I had Raider, I used ick medicine a couple times and nothing happened to him. Raider never had ick, but it was his tankmates that would show signs of ick. No special trick to keeping armatus, just make sure that your water is on point, do your water changes and thats it. Not trying to say anything bad bout milokai, I honestly believe that if Raider didnt have so many tankmates he would still be alive.

LOL..... This all goes back to the arguement I keep having with everyone on tank size.... They need room. Sooner or later people WILL see eye to eye with me on this. All it takes is ONE aggressive charge into something and it can be over. If people are raising them from babies and never see the skiddish nature they exibit every once in a while then they are NOT paying attention enough or at the right times.
