The stuff they teach at high school is fairly basic anyway and don't cover animal chemistry, but rather general body chemistry of the human body.

Get her some books on turtles, she probably trust published materials over her students, especially nowaday teenagers just say stuff they don't really understand or they don't mean. I am not saying she is right, but think about the overall attitude of teenagers toward adults.

I just knew biology was the mother of zoology. i was just stating this. sorry for confusion on that.
 
that makes me mad to and way to go on the herpetologist thing thats my dream to as far as the turtle thing goes id talk to her again NICELY wich means no sarcasim or any thing like that if she still refuses do the e mail thing and if she still is mistreating mr turtle ask to have it if that still does no good bring your principals attention to the problem
 
def looks like a painted turtle, there aree a cpl diff kinds, western, eastern so on. but same care here is a site of basic info http://www.wnyherp.org/care-sheets/turtles/painted-turtle.php
i would right a paper with this info and pics, kinda like a report and give it to her. it will show her she is wrong but also show you are a good studet, bc how any kis write reports with out having to

true true, but u would be suprize, most kids think that thhe turtle looks happy and nothings wrong, if u point out and show them whats wrong an how its wrong im sure u will get some supporters. but like you say only a few big time animal ppl these days that lose sleep over and animal and the care it gets. thats i love this site, more ppl with the love of animals
 
i like animals more than most ppl lol. in iraq i found a little puppy when we were assulting a town and i feed him and played wit him for 2 days. then when the cowards decided to come out and fight us lol. i was shoot at ppl and blowing stuff up with my tak with a care less in the world about the enemy i was killing, but during the fight i stoped shooting so my puppy could cross the road. i look back now and feel like im a bad person, buut heyy thats war and im like you, I LOVE ANIMALS lol
