Oh I remember these guys! My LFS had them not too long ago! Don't they require brackish water long-term, though? That seems to be the general consensus when I asked about these. Awesome little fish though. Keep up the good work! Your dedication to this thread is amazing- I'd personally never would've been able to keep up what you've been doing. It's also a great resource to learn more about oddball fish. Haven't been able to find an online guide as good as this one.

Krobia xinguensis

Size: 5”
pH: 6.0-7.5
Tank size: 30G/Pair
Country of origin: Brazil
Diet: Most live, frozen, and prepared foods of an appropriate size will suffice
Temperament: Peaceful, though slightly territorial
Temperature: 75-85° F

Description

Krobia xinguensis is a somewhat rare, though still occasionally available South American cichlid found only in the Xingu river drainage in Brazil. Being cichlids, these fish are naturally territorial-- however, they are actually quite peaceful in comparison to many other cichlid species. They are rather hardy. This species was described fairly recently, back in 2012.

I tried to order some from my lfs but they haven’t arrived from the wholesaler’s facility yet

NO COMMON NAME
Paralaubuca harmandi

Size: 6”
pH: 7.0.-7.5
Tank size: 75G/1 small group
Country of origin: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam
Diet: Most live, frozen, and prepared foods of an appropriate size will suffice
Temperament: Peaceful for the most part, but may outcompete some smaller fish. Best kept with larger tankmates.
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Paralaubuca harmandi is a rather unique fish in the aquarium trade. Why? Because almost nobody outside of their natural range keeps, utilizes, or even knows about them. They don’t even have a common name. Now, to be fair, I have improvised some names for other fish that lack common names, though, for this one, I came up empty-handed. Though very little is known about their care, I can tell you that they are a fairly large, robust, and sturdy cyprinid that likely makes an excellent dither.

I have some info on this fish. They are middle to top water swimmers, very active and die quickly if get out of the water. They’re omnivore but more on the predatory side. I think a 125gal is more suited for a group of them. There natural predator is elopichthys bambusa Imo they are just plain boring(few fish got this tag from me) and are only suited for being dithers

Climbing Perch
Anabas testudineus

Size: 8”
pH: 5.5-8.0
Tank size: 40G/Individual
Country of origin: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore
Diet: Most live, frozen, and prepared foods of an appropriate size will suffice
Temperament: Predatory. Also territorial towards conspecifics. Could possibly be kept in specialized communities
Temperature: 60-85° F
sg: 1.000-1.010

Description

Anabas testudineus is a gourami relative that can be found in several countries throughout Asia. Any tankmates kept with this fish should be robust enough to stand their own ground, but not to a point where they could overpower this fish. While this species is not overly shy, hiding spots and foliage are, though not needed, appreciated.
Mine was straight up indestructible. Extremely gluttonous, a little territorial. Used to get cut by its gill plates and fin spines.
