Description

Closing Oceania natives week is Lutjanus argentimaculatus, a very robust brackish to marine predator that is very widespread throughout the eastern world. Despite their relatively short length, this species is very thick and robust, and therefore needs a larger tank than many others its size. Due to the extremely aggressive nature of this species, few or no tankmates are recommended. This species makes an incredibly interesting centerpiece predator. NOTICE: The link provided above is to a website based in Australia. Most entries previous to this one contain US links. If you live outside of Oceania, this fish may be particularly expensive to ship.

The puffer looked really cool and the flathead was a really interesting one.
Haven’t heard of any of these species.
Realistically I’d most likely keep the goby (or some other of the genus).

What is your favorite of the past 7 fish? Any you haven't heard of? Any you're considering keeping?
Probably the toadfish or mangrove jack. I remember that my uncle used to have a decent size jack in his 6ft and it was always picking fights with the sooty grunter.

Mangrove jacks are definitely on the one day list, in a nice big tank ~3000 gallon with a bumblebee grouper.
Toadfish are common round where I am and you always see them hanging out in the shallows near rocks. Anglers hate them because they bite the hooks and lures in two.

I have kept jolly tails before, but the kick the bucket when it gets over 28 Celsius.

Berney’s. Catfish would be fun to keep. When they get bigger their faces just look more and more like a grumpy old man who’s lost his teeth and hearing aids.

Lots of great species mate! Keep up the good work. Rhads/ornate rainbows are cool and pretty unique fish.

So annoying that these guys are on the noxious/banned list here. They’re awesome and very unique looking.
