That’s a cool one! Reminds me of the neon dartfish in marine tanks, also incredibly rare and small.

Walleye
Sander vitreus

Size: 2’
pH: 6.5-8.0
Tank size: 220G/Individual
Country of origin: United States, Canada
Diet: Live foods, possibly frozen foods as well
Temperament: Aggressive
Temperature: 50-70° F [Possibly higher or lower]

Description

Sander vitreus is an elongated, predatory perch native to both the United States and Canada. These fish are among the most aggressive freshwater species in the United States, and make for very interesting pets, especially during feeding time. They do sometimes enter brackish water, though data on their brackish tolerance and the amount of time they can spend in it is limited. As for the link, it does not take you directly to where you can order these fish. Go to their fish list for details on availability.

Shortfin Eel
Anguilla australis

Size: 2’ [Sometimes larger]
pH: 7.0-8.0
Tank size: 125G/Individual
Country of origin: Philippines, Samoa, Australia, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Micronesia
Diet: Live and frozen foods. Possibly larger dry food such as pellets
Temperament: Very predatory and aggressive, though may coexist with faster, larger fish if well-fed
Temperature: 55-80° F
sg: 1.000-1.010 [Possibly higher]

Description

Anguilla australis is a true eel native to several countries and islands throughout Oceania, as well as the Philippines in Asia. They are often compared to Anguilla reinhardtii, commonly known as the speckled longfin eel, which is a similar, though much larger and thicker fish. Like many species on this thread, these fish are well-known in their native range, though rare in international trade. NOTICE: The link provided above is to a website based in Australia. Most entries previous to this one contain US links. If you live outside of Oceania, this fish may be particularly expensive to ship.

Love these guys! Bit rarer than the long fins. Can be a pain when using traps though!

Apionichthys nattereri

Size: 9”
pH: 6.0-7.5
Tank size: 45G/Individual
Country of origin: Brazil, Ecuador, Peru
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Peaceful, may be bullied by larger fish. Still predatory
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Apionichthys nattereri is a very rare, and truly freshwater sole from South America. Like all flatfish, they require fine substrate to bury themselves in. Unlike many commercially available flatfish, this species is not known from brackish or marine habitats, and should only be kept in true freshwater conditions. This fish is the largest of its genus; the smallest of the seven Apionichthys species is only known to reach a little over an inch.

Homalopteroides tweediei

Size: 2”
pH: 6.5-7.5
Tank size: 20G/1 small group
Country of origin: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia
Diet: Live and frozen foods. May eventually accept dry

Temperature: 70-75° F

Description

Homalopteroides tweediei is a somewhat infrequently-seen subtropical hillstream loach found in the Mekong River System. They are generally peaceful, and make good community fish. However, they are very sensitive to water parameters, and could possibly be outcompeted by other fish. A particularly high water flow is recommended for this species, though not as high as what is required for some other hillstream loaches.
