Ceja Stingray
Paratrygon aiereba

Size: 4’Lx3’W [Possibly larger-- Though this is rare in captivity]
pH: 6.5-7.5
Tank size: 1500G/Individual
Country of origin: Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Generally calm. Very predatory and will eat any fish small enough. Known to be rather personable, and quite intelligent by fish standards
Temperature: 75-85° F

Description

Paratrygon aiereba is a rare and little-known South American stingray. These fish are larger than most Pomatotrygon species, and have been known to reach over 5’ in width in the wild. This is nothing short of a true monster fish. Unfortunately, few (if any) high-quality photos are available for this species, which is part of the reason it took so long to be covered.
