What if I leave both motors running? Any harm?

*maybe I should run all 3 of them in a series! lol

I dunno Levi,

I think it might cause more backpressure and make the motors work harder if they are all running together.

I would not recommend doing that. It will make your motor try to draw more current and work harder creating more heat which will lead to a shorter life.

Maybe it would be easier to just run them independantly. That way you won't lose the whole tank if one filter fails.

Or just get a bunch of sponge filters and use them :)

Levi, why do you want to do that? Once it goes through the first it will catch all the debris. Is the first one for mech and the second for biological?

I think you could get away with one with 2 different sizes of prefilter media, lots of matrix/efhisubstrat and an AC for most of the junk removal.

...I had more to write but I forgot, maybe I will remember later.

Hey I said he could add more and eventually get an AC5000. As the number of filters approaches infinity, the rating of the filters approaches infinity x 500. Duh! LOL

what i would do is setup your tank with overflows and a wet dry then use your canisters to return the water back to the tank

that would be a pretty cool setup

mike

My orignal thought was to keep the hoses and clutter to a minimum.......I dont know if it's going to be possible.
