Yeah it is a problem for sure, I just hope we don't start hearing crazy things like we did with snakeheads. Pretty soon people will be freaking out thinking that Plecos are burrowing under there houses and making them collapse

I doubt that one will become illegal fish at any time. Plus it's too late....not mentioned that koi are legal to sell despite of common carps ruined lot of ecosystems in entire United States.

I gotta agree with tony, plecos can and do cause problems and have been for awhile here but it doesnt get publicized like predatory fish do

Yup Common carps and Grass carps don't get any public either, unlike their dangerous jumping cousins.
 
Lol if they are banned I'm screwed! I have like 6! I love my plecos! Just another highly highly exaggerated fish situation. If they keep
