To strike fear in the hearts of the retired folks in florida, you never know when you will be walking in the water, step in a pleco hole and break a hip. ROFL

You guys may joke around, but Common Pleco's are a huge problem compared to the Snakehead. Florida may not be showing signs of trouble from them, but here in Houston, they're taking over most of the bayou's and rivers.

Sorry guys but I agreed with Water, these armoured catfish are no joke and they don't have many predators beside the alligators and the man. I just don't think you guys can compared the common pleco to the snakehead...totally different fish with different issues. The pleco ACTUALLY altered the ecosystems easily than snakeheads and it is not uncommon for some waterways to be overpopulating with the common plecos.
