You are thinking of rubberLIP plecos, chaetostoma species, not parancistrus. These are rubber or bulldog plecos.
 
RUBBER, CHUBBY THERE THE SAME FISH

little 3.99 rubber pleco IS THE SAME FISH IN THE PHOTOS ON THE FIRST PAGE thats the 2 names they go by CHECK YA PLANETCATFISH and bulldogs look TOTALLY different then the RUBBER PLECO

BULLDOG OR PITBULL PLECOS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
 
that looks COMPLETELY different from the rubber plecos I have been buying from petsmart

I have one of my RUBBER PLECOS already changing from greyish juvie colors to ORANGY YELLOW i.e. CHUBBY PLECO I will post pics of him morphing as soon as I get my camera back up

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT rubberLIP plecos

The fish that are sold by petco/petsmart are chaetostoma species. They are not parancitrus. Rubber pleco is a common name generally given to the parancistrus, while rubberLIP is given to chaetostoma species.

Pitbull plecos are also a different species, this name is commonly given to parotocinlus species.
