Hey bud - that mine ? How is he doing ?

Who me?...LOL sorry but I actually forgot which member I bought mine from..Mine is doing well, messy though. He eats pellets but likes to chew and spit pieces out.He does not eat much though so I can't seem to fatten him up.

I feed mine freeze dried krill, blood worms and cut up smelt, they go nuts for all of those. They were eating brine shrimp for awhile but they have stopped taking those.

I will have to try some if these foods for my perch..My problem is that I have it with some cichla and I don't want them to turn away from eating the pellets I have them on.If they get a taste for some of that meat they may no longer want the pellets.

Yeah they are.I like the high round dorsal fin that they have, when they extend it.

I have 4 sm. ones, maybe 4 inches or so, had them since spring, have the same problem, can't fatten them up, and haven't seen too much growth. I've had to pull them out and move them as others out grew them a few times now...... nice looking fish though

I'm still trying to get my hands on some (red) perch.. I love these fish, lots cooler than most exotics IMO.
Krich the reason for his small appetite could be that he's with cichla, which, as far as I know, recquire very warm water. Coldwate fish have metabolism problems wen the water is too hot and thus they don't want to eat much.
