Interesting points Chub_by...The water might be warm for him,it's around eighty but not higher.He eats a few pellets but chews up and spits a lot of it out.

I kept mine at 78 degrees with no ill effects. Here's a vid showing mine. Compare his size to the 18" fire ell.

The snook? No. I bought it from Wes at Rare Fish in the vendors section.

I've owned 3 swordspine snook from 2 disfferent orders. Both shipments ended up fine. I can personally vouch for Wes at Rare Fish in the vendors section. He does top notch work. He's had 4 different species of snook of the past few years as well. If I had bigger tank space I would've jumped on board with the other species as well.
