That's probably smart thinking to keep the breeding pair at home. Looking forward to the convention, a chance to see many rare species.
 
I have been removing the fry now, a little at a time, once a day. I have about 80% now out of the breeding tank. I have them eating and doing great. I planed on slowely easing the parents out of the fry. The parents are doing great with the remaining fry, and we are going on 2 weeks post breeding. I should be done removing all the fry by weeks end. There are over 600 fry all together. I was surprised, spawn was that big, being their first spawn. Will post Fry photos as their development goes on.

I think it important, that people do NOT cross-breed the differant type locations. I can't control that, put I urge people, once these become more available again, to try and stick to that. I did bring back a couple of Beani from Rio San Pedro, which is in another state. I do not know if they are male and female, and they are now in the hands of another collector/breeder. That varient is very differant in color than the Baluarte ones. I feel it important to bring Beani back, strong in the hobby, but feel it even more important to be even more responsible in breeding true type locality specimens. At this point, I think most beani out there are Baluarte, if you can trace them back to me. Thanks all!

So what does one call the fry from wild x f1 parents? f0.5?
