You know you are a MFK when you...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I actually used an all-saw, but sledgehammer sounds better for the line.

First thing we did at the new house was bash open a few new doorways to make moving monster tanks easier.

You know you're a MFKer when
you have to shop at Lowes and Academy for all your fish supplies

You know you are a monster fishkeeper when you are sick and tired of Peacock Bass.....a fish almost no one has ever heard of!

You know you are a MFK'er when you are trying to calculate lbs/sq foot of the floor and direction of floor joist in relation to tank placement.

when you structure your monthly budget around fish stuff you "need", or spend whole days walking through woods looking for something to put in the tank

...when you need to knock out your fish before moving them.

...when the first thing you say after your friend asks you, "How are things?" is "Well, one of my fish won't eat pellets yet."

...when friends who aren't into fish keeping at all always ask, "So how's such-and-such fish doing?"

...when you've sacrificed almost half of the square footage in your tiny room for a huge cattle trough fish tank.

...when your fish get to enjoy toasty 79F water, while you freeze your butt off in your cheap, uninsulated house.

Ahh, the story of my life.

When you have developed a small tank syndrome.....no matter how big your tank is it's always not big enough.
