I don't keep piranhas(they are illegal in my state), but I keep a few pacus. But, I felt the need to comment on this thread just to say...

Nice, and that's great of you to take a 1 eyed monster, most people wouldnt!

Sig worthy. :)

Had no idea you had any experience with piranhas. Holding your experience from me so I don't pick your brain?

Lol no and sorry guys but it wasn't much of an experience as he also gave me an Oscar that he no longer wanted. The Oscar soon after killed the red belly. My co worker had a group of them and he was going to flush this runt Pirahna if I hadn't stepped in to try and save it.

I feel like I saw this thread awhile back... Maybe not! What was the size difference between the two?

The one major issue I have with Piranhas, is that they are VERY boring fish when they arent feeding.

They just hover there in their groups (shoals?) barely moving almost frozen. And thats not very exciting. I want to see fish swimming! Fins flapping! Movement, drama, curiosity!

There is all kinds of drama in my cichlid tanks

4 rbp and 24 black skirt tetras. Oddly the black skirts were there to cycle and added rbp to the tank that were 1". After a year the rbp were 6-8" and only lost 5 black skirts tetras and all but 2 I found the dead fish. Lost my fear of piranha after that
