I appreciate the advice but my reluctance to mbuna is they mostly stay under 5 inches, I'd rather have 5-8 fish in the 6 to 8 inch range than 15 or 20 at 4 inches.

Lumpy will grab my hand, normally splashing a gallon or so of water out the tank at the same time, and attempt to "de-glove" a couple of fingers...when he's in the mood.

He's always in the mood.

More active than some bottom-of-tank dwellers such as plecos and bichirs. Some are corys are very colorful. So a colony might add life and vibrancy to the bottom of a tank.

I used to be of the same mindset- i dont like albino species- but a homogenous herd of corys can be majestic in a tank with something like severums or chocolates adss interest and movement to the bottom of the tank
