Your least favorite aquarium fish and why

I like bettas. Maybe not my favorite, but will always have a special place in my heart. Solid second best labyrinth fish, best legal one imo.
I also like giant gouramis, just like a small one but more interactive, more aggressive (which only makes it more interactive and intelligent), and bigger (makes for much more of a centerpiece fish). Plus they are cute in an ugly sort of way.

From pure curiosity, what is it about most loaches that makes you dislike them? I don't have any issues with others disliking loaches, but as a loachaholic I have a difficult time seeing what someone might not like.
They are straight up d***s. I have kept yoyos, skunks and candy striped. The candy was solo for a while and only hid. Once I added a yoyo the candy was pestered nonstop. I tried adding a few more yoyos and they wouldn't leave each other alone. I lost a couple to suicide. They wouldn't leave the other fish alone either. Just plain old d***heads.
I love khuli loaches though they are super cool.

You've seen betta antuta? If normal bettas are your favorite, there's a good chance betta antuta will take the number one spot.
If that fails, check out betta macrostoma, betta channoides, betta rubra, and betta foerschi.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with yoyos and zebras. They're usually very peaceful and active in groups of 6 or more.
Can't speak for skunk loaches though, I have no experence with them and they are said to be aggressive.
I agree with you that kuhlis are great.

Skunks weren’t as bad for me as I’ve read, but definitely more feisty and a good choice for semi aggressive to aggressive fish.

I love the macrostoma, and really any wild betta!
Gars are pretty boring to me as well  Don't get me started on Dats....
Agree on dats. They look nice sure, but what’s the appeal?

I'll add to the agreements on Siamese tigers being boring. They don't really do much besides laze around, even though they have good patterning.
