Now, here's something different: I just saw a pic of Esox's big beautiful tank, and among those wonderful Filament Barbs and other lovelies, I saw...a Kissing Gourami.

Man, I have hated those things ever since I saw my first one in a K-Mart fish department tank probably around 1967. The green ones are bad enough...but the pink ones? Brrrrr.....

Almost as bad as Parrothorns!

Now, here's something different: I just saw a pic of Esox's big beautiful tank, and among those wonderful Filament Barbs and other lovelies, I saw...a Kissing Gourami.

Well spotted, and for the record, I hate them too!! That abomination of a fish was one of my wife's choices.

In my desperation to get her interested in my hobby there have been several occasions where I have treated her to fish she takes a liking to. The kissing gourami was one such example.

Such is my dislike of that fish, whenever i rhyme off my stock list, I never mention the kissing gourami, through shame more than anything, lol.

Fortunately for me, though not for the kissing gourami, it died a few months ago, due to starvation probably. The dumb thing was that slow, and picky at feeding times, it never seemed to get any food, lol.

Oh, don't worry about it, the kissing gourami was the least of my worries.

What I haven't shown everyone is the tankful of goggle eyed goldfish I set up for her. Damn woman, I'm sure she does it on purpose, lol

I stopped setting up tanks for my wife, they almost always look like a unicorn sharted inside and it’s something I have to maintain that she’ll occasionally acknowledge
