thanks tc,
cool stores there. That one is big, to big for me :) Overhead will kill in that size store.
How is the stores doing out that way?
I'm almost the only independent fish store left in my area other then the chains/box stores. Its good for me but kinda feel bad at the same time see all the mom & pops disappear.

me Dave
They seem to be doing alright from what I can see. I shop exclusively at JoJo's for my fish and buy some supplies there. They are the only real mom and pop place around. They also have lots of mouths to feed in south america where their family owns discus and other hatcheries. They are never very busy but they remember my name even if its been months between visits (I get my supplies online normally as they dont have nearly as much supplies as they do fish :) They also are very hospitable the customer service and fish quality is truely second to none. Each tank has its own sponge filter and or power filter so there is no cross contamination and they do a good job keeping all the tanks bare bottoms completely clean.
:headbang2 For JoJo's

I mainly visit exotic aquariums for observation of different species. They are decently priced on fish but with OCD I cant accept fish that have shared sumps with hundreds of other fish ;)

ok, I did a search, and the name of the species is hepsetus odoe, which also known as the African pike or Kafue pike.
