^ So NIC have you actually heard of people trying this or just guessing?

i know for a fact there are people keeping pairs together.... if you keep a pair together well eventually something :naughty: might/will happen ;)

Can you provide more details on the batman pairing?

Are they adults? What type of rays? Pregnant yet? Pics?

the front part of the disk missing yes is a disk defect

but the back part i have not seen this since the 1st batman rays the back part near the rear fins

i cant find a picture now

It's just a discussion between whether chocolate or vanilla is better. It's pointless. Vanilla is defective because it lacks coco...

Why can't people who like chocolate eat chocolate and stop interfering with people who like vanilla.

Everybody should keep whatever ray they like and not give 2 hoots to what other nosy parkers think.

wow! that's pretty good Lincoln. :)
First you throw around crap like " nazi' etc then you trivialize the subject like this, by comparing ray deformities to ice cream.
I think you are confused ( to be kind)
It is unethical to deliberately breed animals for a deformity. This is not my standard, it is the standard of ethics in biology. Just like ethics in medicine where the first rule is " do no harm".

eth⋅ics  [eth-iks]
–plural noun
1. (used with a singular or plural verb) a system of moral principles: the ethics of a culture.
2. the rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group, culture, etc.: medical ethics; Christian ethics.
3. moral principles, as of an individual: His ethics forbade betrayal of a confidence.
4. (usually used with a singular verb) that branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions.

IMO - This is not like ice cream only because we are discussing ethics and morality, there is no moral ground on your ice cream preference, one over the other does not make you "wrong."

I always find the topic of fish and morality interesting. Here is my question thou, who says what the ray culture/community establishes for our ethics? If we do as a group, then based on the poll, it would be ethical correct? Or is this simply based on a few high ranking ray experts?

Just some things to think about....

see then it comes back to my whole feels good naked theory.... if you like it and it feels good............

Just say a motoro batgirl can pump out 8 pups per litter they may all look normal no batman signs

them 8 normal looking pups maybe sold as the breeder probably not keep them all

8 female pups have 8 more female pups and so on everyone is always moaning how small the gene pool is

its not right to pass on this defective gene to a already small gene pool

if you want to try it then try it but dont sell the pups no matter how normal they look

But what scientific data do you have to say that its caused by genes vs environment?
