Coming along nicely. How’s your survival rate?
I haven’t don’t a count in a while. I have some rocks in there so it’s hard to tell. I think there are at least 20. So 2/3rds survival rate. Not the best, but not the worst either.

That’s not bad at all. Next thing you know, you’ll see some color they grow so fast.

Little update on these guys. They are about 1” some a bit longer.
At what size should I try adding them back in the main tank? 2” or more?

They look so cute! Depending on hiding places/cover and how many? At 2” they should be ok for sure in my opinion. You may get a loss or two due to aggression, stress, etc, but I think you’ll be fine. I don’t have to tell you what happens as the juvenile males start to emerge. Lol!

Haha, yeah. Once I can tell them apart I’ll get rid of some.
I need to add more rock work to the tank. I’m sure I have a month or so left before they can be added in, so that will give me time to get the tank where I want it:)
Their mom is holding again so maybe having more cover I’ll get more fry without having to raise them separately. Haha

I did a bunch of moving things around and putsing yesterday.
The zebra babies don’t seem to have grown much this month. Keeping them in a breeding basket has messed things up.
I cleared out the 29g and gave them that as a growout tank now. I hope to see better growth now and maybe start seeing some males color up.

They will grow faster now that they are in a larger tank. Those little males will perk up soon! Thanks for the update.
I can’t wait! I’m so excited to see them color up!

This little guy caught my eye with its pattern. I might have to keep this one for myself:)
