Not quite. Common plecos, Pterygoplichthys pardalis, only attain sizes around or less than 2'. Some Hypans can get much larger than others. Zebras usually only attain a size of less than 4", while L066 can attain over 6".

Doesn't oddball own a common at 3'? or is that a different species..

If you want zebra plecos L046 search for them on aquabid.com there are few people there that sells them, the king tigers L066 are also on the banned list until further notice so the price on this fish has sky rocketed too, if you want a pleco to eat algae go for the bristtle nose plecos, you wont be disappointed with them.

At three inches he would be a sub-adult or even an adult. At $90, he probably isn't a zebra L046. If he is, put him in the mail, I'll buy him!

Certainly would be pretty much fully grown, can take years to be sexually mature though. I agree, sounds like one of those too good to be true situations.

wow $90 is cheap!...here in aus they go for around $700 for 3cm at lfs

IF you can find a breeder that is willing to sell just one, and you pick up from them, sometimes they will go as low as $125 in the US.
